So yesterday, I released the “ayePhone“. It’s a little fun app that a friend suggested, and I whipped up over a weekend. I submitted to the store and wrote a fun little write up. Not a big deal, right?
Wrong.
The first couple of reviews were pretty scathing. One star, and comments like “doesn’t do anything” or “what’s this do besides give you a buck?” Pretty harsh, considering, not one of these people purchased the app or tried it out.
Before I go further, let me state, I have no problem with people who think the app sucks. There was one review where someone actually tried it and gave it one star. Fair enough.
The biggest thing is the vitriol. I guess these people like to walk into stores, see something they don’t understand and start screaming at the sales people about what stupid thing it is, and how it’s overpriced.
Something’s being lost with online communication. Civility? Politeness? I don’t know.
